A girlfriend of mine told me that she has been going to the public library to borrow CDs. Immediately, I thought why didn't I think of that?! A FREE way to fill in the potholes of my music collection? What a brilliant idea! Taking her lead, I started to go to the library to copy some music that was part of my childhood.
Some of my recent adds-
Bonnie Raitt- "People are Talkin'" My first ever karaoke song on the karaoke system I got from Santa in 5th grade.
Tracy Chapman- "Fast Car" This song was a fave of my parent's and FYI Tracy was discovered on the T platform while she was going to Tufts in Boston.
Sarah McLauglin- "Black & White" This song was one of my favorites in high school.
Dusty Springfield- "Son of a Preacher Man" It's a classic! I used it to audition for the SoCal Vocals in college.
I want to somehow catalogue all of my fav songs by year and memory. I tend to remember music by the house we lived in at the time and vice versa or the year in college, group of friends, etc. I wish there was a systematic way to do this. Anyone know? The best I could come up with was to create playlists.
