This weekend Tiffany and I headed out to Sedona, AZ. You might ask why might would you be interested in going there? Well, I heard about it from my hairdresser who told me a great story about his spiritual experiences there. As soon as he told me about it, and I started researching I thought that it would be a great trip. What makes Sedona different from most other places are the energy vortexes that provide people with inspiration, spiritual clarity, and a reconnection to Mother Nature.
This weekend the weather was beautiful because it was Monsoon season. We got up around 4:30 am and just started driving at 6 am. By the time we got to Sedona, we were both exhausted but it didn't matter. We were there! We checked in and immediately got to scoping out the local spots. During our trip, we happened to meet a waiter who knew about Ayurvedic practices and invited us to an early morning yoga session. It was a little scary because there was a Silence of the Lambs moment before we went in but we were glad we did. Then, we happened to meet a band of tribal musicians who gave us a real taste of the off-trail experience. It was a really cool day. By far the best things about the trip were the beautiful scenery, the feeling of freedom from the real world, and the fun characters we met along the way. There were definitely moments that held special coincidences. How often do you find Mormon Hill, Jordan Street, and Morgan Road all in the same town? Really now...
