Things on My Mind

1. Why is it that I only know about Mormon blogs. Cool people, where are your blogs? And, what's up with that?

2. Pushing Daisies is 99% cancelled. If you like the show (like I do) you should send emails to ABC and post on the PD message board. Honestly, this is one of the best shows on TV. It is fun to watch, has wholesome content and brings a sense of joy to the heart. What more could we ask for? I just hope that ABC sells it to another channel or does the series on ABC Family or something. It would be way better than cancelling it altogether.

3. The "Box-In." Until last night, I was unaware that there was such a maneuver. Seriously, how did someone come up with a way to turn all of our efforts to say scram with one gesture around? I am shocked and oddly kind of happy that some members of the opposite sex have evolved enough to counteract our efforts but simultaneously appalled because it means that they can block a girl from escape. Plus, it is always the ones who are the least viable option who have this new information. Eesh! If you are wondering what I am going on about, the "Box-Out" is a defensive dancing technique perfected by Amicinq. With a series of heightened arm movements and some sly footwork, a girl can avoid any strange interested party without having to engage them in a conversation or make eye contact. It is fabulous because it's a big time saver. Now some dudes have come up an equally obnoxious move called the "Box-In," which either means that they are playing ping pong with your knees by guiding your dancing with their thighs or it means belly/body blocking you into a controlled space. Neither of which are great options for the girl looking for an out.

4. CA Sushi Roll and Factory is my fave spot for sushi in all of LA. (Thanks to Terri and CC for telling of its awesomeness.) I gush about it to everyone because I love that place. I love it so much that whenever I'm in LA I try to make a stop there. For some reason, I would go on Saturdays and it would be hit or miss if it was open or not. I would drive by during the day and see people there but when I went back a half hour later it would be closed. Weird. Inevitably Saturday trips led to disappointment and discontent. Finally, I realized why. They close at 3 on Saturday. Random...why 3? All I know is if you want some great sushi at an affordable price, you best get yourself there prior to 3.
